Anniversary cuisine at the Waters Edge

My friend just posted that he and his partner made it past their Kardashiversary. 72 days of being married. I am also proud to have outlasted not one, not two, but FIFTEEN Kim Kardashian marriages. Wow we are good.

We took a couple ferries from Jersey to the Water's Edge where it all went down three years ago today. We had a very tasty meal with the best view as always.

On the menu:
Sake cured gravalax-Spicy Tuna Tartar, Potato Gaufrette
Filet Mignon with Truffled Parmesean Steak Fries, creamed Spinich
Rack of Lamb with a caramelized shallot crust, eggplant tart and pave potatoes

A Danish Birthday

Birthday shenanigans at Tivoli Gardens, Rosie's Pub, Jailhouse and Cozy bar, Copenhagen. Last year Victoria, this year Denmark. My life is crazy!! It was great to force the entire cast off the ship again and experience night life in Europe.   We had a great night!

Oh and Ginger the Cat was born at Build-a-Bear. She had a wild first day on earth.

Ice Bar, Sockholm. aka The Big Chill

Camilla Edin, otherwise known as the Swedish hostess with the mostess took a huge group of us to the first Ice Bar in Stockholm. So much fun, SOOOO cold, but so worth it for the photo shoot that ensued.

The Norwegian Fjords

North Cape. Where the sun don’t set.
We passed the northernmost part of the world last week and the sun never set for almost a week. Most people thought is was quite beautiful, but it kinda freaked me out. I felt like I was on another planet Janet.

I took an excursion in Geiranger Norway that took me up dozens of hairpin turns to a glacier and two beautiful vistas. Cliffs, waterfalls, snow capped mountains. Just breathtaking! Back on the ship we passed the Seven Sisters waterfall.

Tallin Estonia

No internet. I mean, none. That is the down side of ship life for sure, not being to email, call or BLOG for that matter! But here's the reason. We basically sailed to the North Pole. No Santa, no reindeer (if children are reading this, Santa was on a cruise in the Bahamas), and NO nighttime!!!! What the?? It was just unnatural. Watching a sunset that never sets makes you feel like you are on Mars.
Anyways, I'll be back with more on that, but here is my short and sweet little blog about a short and sweet stay in little Tallinn, Estonia.

Tallinn is an adorable Baltic town that is beautifully preserved. More cobblestone streets, shops, taverns and pubs, but it truly has a medieval feel to it. You know those Renaissance fairs they have in the states? It's like that, but for real. Tallinn's Old Town is in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sights and is the oldest capital city in Northern Europe.

Yes, they wrecked the entrance to the town with a McDonalds. Or did they?? I love my cheeseburgers.
