Victoria Lake Palette Looks

Four months in Vegas as of this week and I can't wait to start catching all of you up!
I have been a busy busy bee, looking and finding a new home, auditioning and building my Arbonne business! I did a look the other day that I would love to share from
that was a lot of fun and is beautiful going into the holiday season!
Enjoy!

~Three ways to wear the Arbonne Victoria Lake Palette~
Gorgeous Claudia is a dancer who is starring in PIN UP- Stratosphere Hotel, Casino and Tower and has been in numerous productions on the #Vegas strip. I created three looks: #1. Neutral Day #2. Ultimate Palette and #3. Night Time Smokey Showgirl. All looks started with #Arbonne Primer, #foundation in Neutral Beige, and Sitting Pretty Translucent loose setting powder. #Mascara-It's a Long Story. all changes were done mostly with the #eyes and #lips.

#1. NEUTRAL DAY. Cloud across lid, two layers under brow. Dawn in the crease and Ripple accenting the outer crease. Charcoal Liner. Lips Neutral-Satin Lipstick, Brown Sugar Lip Polish. Glisten cheek #highlighter.

#2. ULTIMATE PALETTE. This is using the #palette to its fullest and most #basic with no add on's. Same eyes as above, adding Maple in the crease and using Plum Liner instead. Sunset Sheer Moisture #Lipstick to finish the look.

#3. NIGHT TIME SMOKEY SHOWGIRL. All of the above, adding Blackout and Merlot to the crease-LAYER on bigtime. Black liquid liner and Cocoa #eyeliner to create a dramatic cat eye. Merlot #blush. Sunset Sheer Moisture Lipstick has been enhanced with Cherry liner and Strawberry lipstick in the center of the lip.

Have a #Beauty-Full Day my friends! xoxo Adriana "ArtistDree"

NYC TO LV

Yes, the exodus has really happened and I can finally sit and breathe and write about it. :)

I only like NY as a friend! After being an addict to the incredible highs and manic lows, I am breaking up with my fascinating, dynamic, eclectic, giving yet slightly abusive lover,
New York City.

I really thought leaving NYC would be some kind of huge traumatic experience but it really just wasn't, which makes me believe it was absolutely the right decision. So if anyone is reading this thinking they are "giving up on the dream" by leaving-you're not. And all of a sudden all these articles started popping up that re-affirmed some of my feelings. This one. This one. This hilarious spoof. And especially... THIS ONE. Like the subways aren't bad enough being completely dysfunctional. I had bed bugs in Queens. Worst ever, and I am not surprised in the least that those buggers-pun intended-have taken over-they are an army that could survive a nuclear war.

Reasons for the move: Lifestyle, open spaces indoors and out, speaking of outdoors-being outdoors all year round, cost of living, trading a condo for a sprawling estate....you get the picture. NYC got crazy at the end there, income is dramatically separating itself from cost of living-I had a friend recently get offered a temp job for $15/hr-what I was making fourteen years ago! Now now, I don't want to sound bitter, nor negative about my dear ol dirty town that I have been infatuated with for years....but let's just say things felt very different towards the end there. Who knows maybe I'm just an old lady who wants to sip tea on a mountain somewhere. Maybe partially, but we also chose Vegas because I just couldn't be in a sleepy town! Vegas runs 24/7 too, we can see every concert, tour, and fabulous entertainment as well as hike, bike, and climb a mountain with some tea. It actually ended up being the best of both worlds. And who knew having a car would be so convenient when there is free parking everywhere??
VIVA!!
More stories on the horizon....xoxo

Maya Angelou

One of many countless words of wisdom from this remarkable woman who graced humanity with her powerful spirit. Thank you Maya Angelou for inspiring and moving us towards the light with your life's journey.

I was so lucky to hear her speak at Ithaca commencement 1999. Very saddened to hear of her passing today....what an unbelievable human being.

Walt Whitman iPad inspiration

Have you seen the recent out-of-this-world iPad commercial? Of course the Apple gurus of advertising have done it again and this mini masterpiece is breathtaking. It features a speech by Walt Whitman that Robin Williams’ character gives in Dead Poets Society. It's the last line that completely slays me. Enjoy.

O Me! O Life!
BY WALT WHITMAN

Oh me! Oh life! of the questions of these recurring,
Of the endless trains of the faithless, of cities fill’d with the foolish,
Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?)
Of eyes that vainly crave the light, of the objects mean, of the struggle ever renew’d,
Of the poor results of all, of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me,
Of the empty and useless years of the rest, with the rest me intertwined,
The question, O me! so sad, recurring—What good amid these, O me, O life?
Answer.
That you are here—that life exists and identity,
That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.

Arbonne Global Training Conference 2014

Well I am at a loss for words. Arbonne has the most integrity of any company I have ever worked for, truly a family business going global, leaders passionate about helping others, green through and through, and I am so proud to be a part of this organization.
I could go on for days but this manifesto says it all.

As I sit here typing this and sipping on my vegan chocolate protein peanut butter banana coffee smoothie, (oh so so yummy) I am overwhelmed thinking of how many people could use Arbonne in their lives.

I couldn't believe this was the new graffiti near my apt the day before I left! Normally I get annoyed by it, but considering they are our mantras I took it literally as a sign. ;)

I have always loved doing makeup as additional income to my acting career because I really feel like it's a service industry. I love making people feel more confident and better about themselves. By layering Arbonne into the mix, I am able to empower other to become leaders and business men and women. We lift each other up, help our teams, instead of all vying for the same "part" in a show.
