A Favorite Birthday

Ummmm...so my birthday was one of the best!!! I don't want to brag but I have to. Somehow my sadness of not being with the hubs on my birthday was countered with the most memorable family and friends day of my life!!!
Starting with high tea on my favorite porch deck in the world:

Baba's painting made it to Victoria! Her presence was present all day.

Thank you to the Porpiglia ladies for creating more Baba "MOments" for me!!!

Then on to my favorite garden in the world:

And a grand finale dinner with a very large group of some of my most favorite people in the world.

Another beautiful day in Victoria, Canada

I am so lucky the husband is from such an amazing place! And that this husband was with me to wander about this said loveliest of cities. Flowers on every corner, great shops and restaurants and even the homeless are friendly. Kinda. More like aggressive friendly. Anyways, we walked Dallas road, the breakwater, and ate dinner at a fab restaurant on the water, called The Canoe Brew Pub.

Where my baby was a baby-Oak Bay, Victoria

Well maybe not a baby baby because he was a baby baby in England... But... I did get the chance to explore Jason's neighborhood where he spent the majority of his childhood. Victoria is similar to  beautiful towns I've visited in the world, where at the end of your vacation you think, people actually LIVE here? It's not built just for vacations? It's too perfect! Well the exact neighborhood he grew up in, Oak Bay is exactly this type of "quaint" and feels like a mini-city in a city. Very much like a small British town, and just steps away from the water.

Houses that look like English cottages. Everyone seems to take a great deal of pride in their homes here.

These two made me think of what Jason and I might look like one day. :)

 And as always, had a wonderful day with the Campbells. What a treat to have them on board and have them in Victoria to host and be hosted by!
