Valentine's Day

Simply LOVE. This week started off with Valentines Day and I think I shocked both of us by cooking yes COOKING a three course meal for dinner.  I can cook too! I can do this!

• First course: Strawberry salad. Dark greens with diced strawberries, feta cheese, almonds and raspberry vinaigrette dressing. 
• Second course: Baked chicken breast marinated in honey dijon, topped with fresh basil, rosemary and goat cheese with a side of angel hair wheat pasta sauteed in garlic and butter.
• Third course: Blackberry cabernet sorbet/whipped topping/strawberry almond cocktail.

To drink? Veuve Clicquot mais oui! 

I truly feel over the top loved by Jason every day of our lives together so Happy Valentines day-I send our "over the top" love to you too!

A good cut. It's an art.

Love getting my hair done but I especially love having someone else blow out my fro. Went a little darker this time and I think it works. I'm going back to my roots. Literal. Figurative. Take your pick. Speaking of picks I can actually pick though it now. Thank you spa Francois. You know your hair is going to look fierccce when a guy with a pompadour named Francois does your do. ;)

Hilo, Hawaii = Paradise on Earth

They left me! Ah the woes of ship solitude.
But we had the most memorable time. :) On our last day we were in Hilo...The main island that is known as the most “unattractive island”. Riiiiight. If that is what they claim, you can very well see why the Hawaiian islands are truly paradise on earth. 

We have vowed to come back to Hawaii the next time without a cruise boat so at the end of the day we don’t have to worry about getting back to our hotel that will leave if we don’t get back on time. We want to hike, bike, camp and explore to our hearts content someday. Until then Hawaii, my heart is always with you!

New Years 2012!

Well New Years Eve was brilliant! Here are a few pictures from that night. 

We started out at dinner, then we went to showtime at the Galaxy-Jon Courtney-a cross between Elton John and Ricky Gervais. He's pretty cool entertainer. This guy is a pretty cool husband.

Then New Years eve countdown in the cove with my besties performing.

As you can see we did not have a good time at all. ;)

So here's the thing with resolutions. I checked out my resolutions from last year and I did pretty well with most of them. Yay for me.

I was going to make a big ol list again but the problem with making resolutions on New Years is that you spent most of New Years Day recovering from New Years Eve. So the first day of the New Year is more busted than the day before. So I made a resolution to have resolutions all year long with a lifelong pursuit to go onwards and upwards in many areas of my already wonderfully full life. I have a million projects continually growing, I do what I love for a living, I have the BEST best friends, a wonderful family, loving spouse, gorgeous apartment and I am so HAPPY. No need to resolve anything, I just want continue to grow. And I don't feel bad about sleeping most of January 1st 2012 away. It was totally worth it.

She is an outstanding performer and she just starred in La Cage aux Folles on Broadway with Kelsey Grammer. She sang the "Best of Times is Now" and the lyrics are PERFECT for New Years and in general...the key of life. :)

OH Oahu I Love You

The best of nature, a stunning coastline, and brilliant beaches contrasted with the best of city life in Honolulu. We rented a jeep to circle the island (not the first time I have done this nor will it be the last) because it is the best way to take in Oahu beauty. We went back to the Northshore, ate the best shrimp on the planet and ended the day at Waikiki beach.

Christmas Movies

Watched Love Actually last night with the cast in the theater. LOVE this film! I think next week will be Elf, 

and the week after that will be a It's a Wonderful Life. 

We will have to fit in Christmas Story at some point too. I pretty much cry at all of these movies and love every moment. Bring on the sentimental Christmas tears!

Jason Campbell Photography is on somewhat of a hiatus at the moment but he dusted off his camera to take some very cool pictures of a certain soprano.
